0x80071ab0 Stop Error Message ?
I am in a big problem right now. In my laptop I use windows vista and everything was stable. I was creating the windows Pre-installation Environment (Windows PE) Image File on my system. I suddenly encountered a STOP error message that I guess was occurring due to the windows vista incompatibility. The error message was, “0x80071ab0” After this when I was trying to access the hard drive of the laptop, I was unable to access my disk. Please suggest me how to solve this as some of my important official files are in that laptop and I have to submit it this week.

As far as I concern, the “0x80071ab0” is an error that occur if the primary drive is not formatted with the NTFS file system. To solve your problem you need to convert the drive into NTFS file system. For this follow the steps; 1. Click on Start > Run and type cmd in the Run Dialog Box 2. Type the command convert: /fs:ntfs
If you still have the same problem then you need to go for the windows vista re-install. Before choosing to do so, you can test you luck by using the Data Recovery Software for Windows Vista to recover all your important files that are in that system drive of your laptop.
