Bug Check 0x12: TRAP_CAUSE_UNKNOWN ?

I have Sound Blaster Live Installed in my Windows 2000 and when I play any 3D game, on my system it shows the blue screen with an error message “Bug Check 0x12: TRAP_CAUSE_UNKNOWN” and reboots. I was wondering if anyone can help me to interpret the exception and how can I get rid of it.

Answer 1
This is a driver related problem and The TRAP_CAUSE_UNKNOWN bug check has a value of 0x00000012. This indicates that an unknown exception has occurred on the blue screen. Parameter Description – 1. The unexpected interrupt 2. The unknown floating-point exception. 3. The enabled and asserted status bits. See the processor definition for details. 4. Reserved This error message has occurred due to the Sound Blaster Live software is installed in your system. To resolve this problem, just uninstall the Sound Blaster Live software by using the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel. After uninstalling the softer restart the system, it will not show any errors further that I assure you. But don’t worry your Sound Blaster Live sound card will still work after the un-installation because the Windows 2000 driver for the sound card is not removed when you uninstall the Sound Blaster Live software.
